Introducing Unit 117
So on October 2nd I got a Facebook memory pop up from a speed drawing the previous year:
Since I’ve been so absent in making new stuff, this seemed like a good one to work on.
At the same time, I run across this post from one of my favorite artists – Shelly Bremmer

ANYHOO, in it she mentions an October Art challenge by Kath McCann & _adinas_art_ with a color palette inspired by a cloud leopard photograph:
Long story short, that’s why the rendered version has more earthen tones than the pink and gold original. I still may make that a variant, but for now Unit 117s primary configuration is the yellows clays are grays you see.
Sudden update right after posting this: I’m calling it Autumn Jester on account of the fall colors, and I just saw a pointy smiling face in it. Thank you pareidolia.
